Sub Sale Reminder

The subs will be delivered on Wednesday, November 11th. They can be picked up between 4:00-6:00pm in the activity building. There will be no regular cadet meeting that evening.

First Meeting

The first cadet meeting of the season is Wednesday, September 30 at 7:00pm at the Jamestown CRC Activity Building. This will also mark the start of the sub sale fund raiser.

Father-Son Campout/Canoe Trip

The 2009-2010 cadet season will kick off with a father-son campout/canoe trip on the Clam River in the McBain Area. We will meet at church on Friday 9/11 at 6:00pm SHARP and return around 3:00-4:00pm on Saturday 9/12. Please sign up on the sheet in the narthex or call Bill DeBoer at 896-1377 if you plan to attend so that we can plan for the appropriate quantity of food.

You will need to bring along the following items: sleeping bag, pillow, dry clothes, swim suits and towel. If you have your own tent, you may bring that along also. Cadets will provide the food for the weekend.

Remember, if your dad can’t make it, you are still welcome to come.

Points Auction

The last cadet meeting of 2009 is Wednesday April 22 at 7:00pm. This meeting will be the points auction.

Cadet-O-Rama

The Cadet-O-Rama will be held at Hudsonville RCA (3950 Highland Drive) on Tuesday April 14. Races will begin at 6:30 P.M. with the Jr. Cadets (2nd and 3rd graders). Immediately after the Jr. Cadets we will begin the 4th grade, then 5th grade, 6th grade, and then the 7th and 8th grades together, ending the night with open class. If you want to race your car at the Cadet-O-Rama, you need to make sure a Cadet Counselor has your car by Sunday April 12. You need to be at the Cadet-O-Rama to race.

There is NO Cadet meeting on Wednesday April 15.

Derby Car Races

On Thursday evening 03/19/09, we will be racing our derby cars at Jamestown Reformed Church. Weigh-in starts at 6:30pm. Racing should start at around 7:00pm.

Father / Son Winter campout

The Father / Son winter campout is March 6 and 7 at the RCCC Campground. We are leaving from church on Friday at 6:00pm SHARP. Bring sleeping bag, pilllow, flashlight, warm clothing.

Bowling Night

Friday February 20. Meet at church at 8:40pm SHARP! We will bring you home after bowling. (@~11:30pm).

Soup Supper

The cadet sponsered soup supper is Monday February 9. Please plan on being at church Sunday night to help set up. Be at church wearing your cadet shirt by 4:30pm on Monday night. There is no cadet meeting on Wednesday night 2/11.

Calvin College Basketball game

On Saturday 02/07/09 the cadets will be attending a Calvin College basketball game vs. Adrian College at the new VanNoord Arena. Tip-off is at 3:00pm. There is a cost of $3 per student and $5 per adult. Bring extra money for concessions if desired. We will be carpooling from church and leaving by 1:45pm sharp.

Cadet Sunday

Cadet Sunday is January 25, 2009. If you are planning on being on the praise team, be at church by 8:30am sharp. Otherwise, please be at church by 9:00am. Wear your cadet shirts and kerchiefs.

Snow Derby

The Snow Derby is Saturday January 17, 2009.

Cadets planning to attend must meet at church at 7:00am sharp.

Please dress appropriately for the weather. All cadets must wear their cadet uniform. You also need to bring one can of soup (no tomato based soups) for lunch. You may also bring a thermos along with your own drink.

Cadet counselors will take the cadets home after we are finished (about 2:00pm).
